ok, so today in anatomy we got to dissect a chicken. i know it's not that big of a deal, but it was really awesome to see all the tendons and ligaments and fossa and all that. the acl looks AWESOME! next time you get a whole chicken from the grocery store you should SOO cut it up (like a surgeon) before cooking it. my lab partners and i, when we were finished looking around at the muscles and joints and stuff, decided to open it up and look at the bones. the ribs of a chicken are really knobby. but we saw the organs (liver, kidneys, stuff like that) and...yeah. i was REALLY cool. so we were having fun popping joints in and out of place. i wonder if it was just really really easy cuz there was no head and the neck was inside and cuz it's something we eat on a regular basis or if i can really handle that kind of stuff. i guess we'll see when it comes time to do the cat! part of me is really looking forward to that 9-wk long lab and part of me really isn't. i mean, jason pittman has told me, repeatedly, that my cat's gunna wake up while i'm washing it (we have to shampoo it before we do anything to clean it, sterilize it and get all the dead flees off of it.) or when i'm going to cut it. :( even though i KNOW that can't happen (dude, these things have been dead for SOME time now) i still...yeah, i'm gunna have BAD dreams about this. oh well... yeah, i don't know why but i'm having a really hard time getting my blog page to show up, so if you read this, PLEASE email me to let me know that it's working! swimfly816@hotmail.com THANK YOU!!! i'll write again later...after bible study or after the play tonight. KATIE (W) IS GOING TONIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAY!!! :)
