OH THE DRAMA...

watched more swimming yesterday! chris swam butterfly at ponderosa (didn't do as well as he had hoped) then we ran (drove) to allstars to watch the 13-14 medley relay and had david's relay and brian's relays been in the same heat, it would have been AWESOME to watch, but as they swam them...yeah, it was a little bit boring cuz both were ahead of the others the whole time. oh well... david's relay got first and brian's got second by .21 seconds. hmmm...oh, then i ran back over to ponderosa to watch the 7-8 girls medley relay. they got 7th but were seated 10th, so they did really well!
the rest of the day was pretty blah cuz i didn't have to go back anywhere to watch finals, so...yeah.
today is my first day back at work (at the Y) teaching swim lessons. i don't know if i'm excited about it yet, but i guess i'll find out soon enough. i work 7:30-2:15 (but it's really 8-2:15 but i have to be there 30 minutes early!?). so...i better get going!

just got back from watching chris swim his finals! he got 5th in free and 5th in back! WOOWOO!!! GO CHRIS!!!!! :) ok, so i got it ALL on tape...chris didn't like the starter much for back (but then again, i can tell why-having been at the meet and seen what all was going on) and it showed up on the video. i'm watching his back and can tell...that's how little the starter was...appealing to him! hehe...anyway, yeah...they weren't his best swims (he says) but i thought they were both really amazing. he did a great job! so, WOOWOO, CHRIS! hehe...anyway..yeah. we were leaving and the sky was BEAUTIFUL so i pulled the camera out again and got some pretty picts of the sky as well! aww...i LOVE video cameras! mr. edman and i had a nice conversation tonight! he seems like a really cool guy. in all the years i've known chris, i'm JUST now getting to know the rest of his family...or at least his parents! both in the same year! hehe...ok, i'm crazy...i'm gunna go reheat some pizza for dinner! YUM YUM!

well...prelims of backstroke and freestyle were today at ponderosa. i went with chris to watch him swim (and videotaped him so he could see it). he finished 4th overall in free and 6th in back, so we're goin back tonight for finals! i'm proud of him! i'm sure he'll do WONDERFULLY! and david swam IM and free and placed 18th out of 44 in IM and 45th out of a lot in free. he's gunna go back as an alternate in IM incase someone didn't scratch but doesn't show tonight. and...yeah! well...that's it for now!
chris and i washed his car today! she's all pretty now!

well...yesterday i spent 2 hours vacuuming and cleaning connie on the inside and left the top down cuz it didn't look like it was gunna rain or anything, and i jumped into the shower before my thing with the other bscl. as soon as i put shampoo into my hair, my mom comes running in to tell me that it's raining outside and connie's top is still down. i asked her if she could put it up for me and her response was "but i'll get wet!" so i jumped out of the shower and ran downstairs in my soaking wet clothes (just had to throw on the closest thing i could find) and put the top up...so now (even though i had JUST finished making her pretty inside) she smells like mildew and is...in need of another vacuum job! however, i gave connie a bath (on the outside) today! she didn't need it too badly, but she got one anyway! now i just have to hope for no rain... i'm hoping for no rain for more reasons than just that, though... (with invitationals tomorrow and sunday and everything...) i went to the Y today to recertify for CPR and AED. when i got there (30 minutes late) amy still wasn't there (which was really good) so i got to practice a little but i didn't think to bring my stuff to look over it. no biggy, though, cuz i know it's 15-2 and 5-1 and rescue breathing is 1 every 5 and 1 every 3. anyway, we kinna reviewed a little before i had to do my tests but when i got them all finished and we were walking to her car to get the written test, she said i was the best recert she's ever done. when we were doing 2 man CPR she was really surprised at how well we changed over and everything! then we went to cary's office and amy was telling him how well we did and all. i start working (again) on monday at 7:30. my mom just got a new job *yay mommy* and she, i guess, was talking about me or something and said that i was about to restart my job at the Y teaching swim lessons and her boss asked if i'd be willing/able to teach his daughter to swim. i guess she can't really say no, can she? and i have to do a good job or it could cost my mom her's, couldn't it? well...i hope i'm good! i've never done private lessons before... well, i haven't done them in a long time, but when i did them before it was for kara casey and she already knew how to swim, her mom just wanted me to work with her on flip turns. but...oh well! i got to talk to john today! he works at the Y too! maybe i'll actually get to see him a little bit!? we'll see.... well, i gotta get up early tomorrow to go do some shopping then head off to see some swims! good luck to everyone who IS swimming this weekend!!!!

i haven't been doing a very good job of blogging everyday, have i? too bad it's summer and i don't do anything...so i have nothing to blog about! last night, however, was the swim team "end of the year" party. it was pretty...blah. however, in the heat sheet at the divisionals meet (last saturday) there was a salute to me for swimming... anyway, some people came up to me last night and were saying that when they saw the thing in the heat sheet they thought i had died or something (as did some people who didn't know who i was) because there was a picture of me at 3 and 1988 was on one side with 2003 on the other. they all said it looked like i had died and our team was letting everyone know or whatever. (i hadn't been at practice or a meet for 2 weeks, so people had a good reason to think something bad had happened, i guess.) anyway... i have some of the SWEETEST people on my team! mrs. baker (and i don't know who else) got together with my parents to get pictures of me from 3 and 18...they put the one of me on the team at 3 (with my bros) and my sr. picture into a frame for me and put my name and 1988-2003 in it. it was really sweet what all mrs. baker had to say about me! aww...i just....*sniffle* it was really meaningful to me! SIXTEEN SEASONS!!!! hehe...anyway... i'm hoping to be back next year as an assistant coach, but doubt that'll happen. i can dream, though, right!? mrs. baker was telling me how to get my name out for that kind of stuff, but said i'd have to wait to see who their assistant coach was going to be before i dedicated my "services" to some other team! (my mom said she thinks that could be good stuff for me, but...we'll see...) anyway...i guess that's it about yesterday!

so this is different...they've gone and changed the posts page...now why'd they go and do that?! just kidding! it's kinna cool...a little weird, but i'll get used to it eventually!
last night (i was going to try to blog but they were still changing this) chris, chris, ann and i got together for the first time in...a LONG time i guess. we went to fazoli's and then came back over here (surprise, surprise) to watch a movie! we decided to watch analyze that (not that i've seen analyze this, but it was still really funny!) uhh...
today is the constitution signing!!!!!! i'm a little excited, can ya tell? i should be making cupcakes, but i'm not...i will eventually...if i get a round tuit (chris)! then we have the swim team party tonight... i can't beleive it's really been 15 years since i first swam on that swim team! it sure has been fun, though. LOTS of people have come and gone...soo many coaches...i can't beleive it!
i was thinking the other day about my favorite coaches... i can't really rank ALL of them, but i know my top three coaches (swimming, of couse) of all times....*drum roll*

hehe, now most of you don't know who any of those people are, but they are my role models...i aspire to be like them, in one way or another. i HOPE that one day i will be given the opportunity to coach a summer league swim team and when that day comes, i want to be as good as each of these individuals! they have been SUCH an inspiration to me...never telling me i couldn't...it's been great! i just wish at least ONE of them was here so i could express my gratitude! but maybe i'll catch a glimpse of dirk and phil this weekend at the allstars and ponderosa meets?! we'll see...

sorry for not updating...i've been sick. i got food poisoning thursday night and have been trying to get over it since friday morning. i'll update some time soon, though, don't worry!

i'm never riding on a plane alone again...or at least not for a LONG LONG time. both the flight to minneapolis and the flight home from new york i had lots of...fun. anyway...i'll start tellin y'all about the trip from those and then kinna fill you in on the important (or what i think you will be interested in) stuff later! monday june 2, chris and my dad were at the airport with me to send me away to my FIRST EVER airplane experience. i'm a little nervous cuz, well, i've never done it before at all. so anyway, we get there at like 2 for a 3 something flight and...yeah. i leave them at security to go and sit and wait for the plane, which is no big deal. i brought harry potter (3) with me to read cuz i'm gunna reread them all before the 5th one comes out and that's as far as i was. i'm sitting against the wall reading when an announcement comes on that there are a few technical difficulties but we will be boarding in about 10 minutes. didn't sound bad to me, cuz we were only supposed to be boarding in 5 or something like that. then 10 minutes later, they come on again and say the flight has been canceled for good. like i've said, i've never done this before so i ask the girl next to me what we do (yeah, a little stupid, i know!) and she said to stand in a line to get a new ticket. NO BIGGY, right? yeah, but the plane was full so the line is 150 people long. i just sat and con't to read cuz i didn't see a point in standing in line when i could be reading my book. i looked up about 5 minutes later and the line was gone, so i went to the counter and the guy put me on a northwest flight. (oh yeah, my original flight was frontier.) i had to go get my bag from downstairs and go to a different terminal so i kinna ran. then i got to nw and the guy told me i had to pay for my ticket if i wanted to get on the plane. i tried to explain that i was on a canceled flight and he said i had to go BACK to front and get my ticket and...UGH. anyway...i missed the nw flight cuz i was standing in the front line for SOOO long but they put me on a direct flight on continental to minneapolis but i only had 30 minutes to get all the way from where i was to the last terminal in "c". thank goodness i made the flight, but that was the story of monday. i got to the airport and missy (my aunt and Godmother) was waiting for me. WOOWOO!!!

I'M HOME!!!! don't have time to write about EVERYTHING right now, so i'll do taht later. (don't worry i kinna kept a "diary" while i was there but it's 22 pages so it might take me some time to get it all down.) just wanted to say I'M BACK!!

friday i saw finding nemo with all those cool asian people that jessica's friends with! it was a great movie. we decided to go to the 2:30 showing so that we wouldn't run into a whole bunch of little kids (cuz they'd still be in school until 3:15 or whenever) but there were still like "50 million little kids running around everywhere" (quote from brian).
well...yesterday was a REALLY big day for all of us (used to be) seniors! WE GRADUATED!!!! :) tc gave me a hug as i walked past too! WOOHOO!! anyway...after graduation (and we went to get our diplomas and such) chris's family and my family went to the cheesecake factory in the galleria for dinner. WOW!!! THAT FOOD IS REALLY GOOD AND REALLY EXPENSIVE...but the chessecakes (we got like 13 different ones on our table....of 17) were amazing. after dinner, chris and i went to the waterwall downtown and it was AWESOME! we got a little wet, but it was pretty cool...but my feet hurt and my shoes got all muddy....oh well!! hmm...then on the way home, chris and i got all...well, kinna lost cuz he didn't know where we were and i didn't have a CLUE where we were (which really frustrated me and even though he doesn' tknow it...that's why i was getting all...ughy in the car!) anyway...so he decided that we should go visit mr. clardy since we were "right there" so we went and...yeah. don't ask about that! uh....yeah. let's see....
so today was the grad party at jessica's! my mom and i went to the grocery store today to get all our stuff (the stuff we said we'd bring) and i think i grabbed...24 2-liter bottles of sodas. woowoo! ok, so we were going to have a slip 'n slide but had to use 2 tarps instead and...yeah!! we put veggie oil on the tarps with soap and water to make them more slippery and...OH MY GOODNESS IT WAS SOO MUCH FUN!!! i took a shower and i think i'm still alittle oily but i guess there's not too much i can do about it at the moment...i worry about it later! uh...yeah! thanks to everyone who came!! it meant SOOO much to jess and i (i know i'm speaking for her here but i'm sure she agrees).
tomorrow is the first day of fish band camp and i'm going to "help" sheila who is going to "help" mina (since he won't be there). then i'm leaving for my BIG SENIOR TRIP UP NORTH TO VISIT MY AUNTS!!!! i'll be gone until the 19th, so...yeah. i probably won't be updating this until i get home...anyway...i love you all and i will miss you terribly!!! BYE PEOPLE!!!!!
