Lesson to be learned from typing the wrong email address:

A Minneapolis couple decided to go to Florida to thaw out during a particularly icy winter. They planned to stay at the same hotel where they spent their honeymoon 20 years before. Because of hectic schedules, it was difficult to coordinate their travel schedules. So, the husband left Minneapolis and flew to Florida on Thursday, with his wife flying down the following day.

The husband checked into the hotel, and unlike years ago, there was a computer in his room, so he decided to send an email to his wife. However, he accidentally left out one letter in her email address, and without noticing his error, sent the email.

Meanwhile...somewhere in Houston, a widow had just returned home from her husband's funeral. He was a minister who was called home to glory after suffering a heart attack. The widow decided to check her email, expecting messages from relatives and friends. After reading the first message, she screamed and fainted.

The widow's son rushed into the room, found his mother on the floor, and they glanced up and saw the computer screen which read:

To: My Loving Wife
Date: Thursday, October 13, 2004
Subject: I have Arrived!

Dearest Love:

I know you are surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now, and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I have just arrived and have been checked in. I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow, and look forward to seeing you then.

Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was.

PS
Sure is freaking hot down here!!

well...andi and cullen are married now. i spent the weekend (friday-sunday) in louisiana attending their BEAUTIFUL wedding ceremony and reception. i should have expected nothing short of perfection for andi, but...it was, well, perfect! made me think about what i want...assuming that i GET married! ;) so, i've decided that i want to get married in the co-cathedral that is being built downtown with the reception at the petroleum club (that's just right now...will probably change a hundred times between now and then). i want the bride's maids to wear cobalt blue strapless satin dresses (haven't decided what length) with flipflops and silver "accessories". don't have ANY idea who would be in the wedding, but i want more then three, i think. anyone interested?! their flowers would be...the pretty peachy color (?!) and mine would be either white or cream (depending on the color of my dress) with one whatever color flower they have to bring it all together. NOT THAT ANY OF YOU CARE ABOUT ANY OF THAT, BUT....IT'S MY BLOG!!! :-D

we lost the swim meet...because i wasn't there, i'm sure! ;) jk windrose will most likely take divisionals this year with second-forth up for grabs by any of the remaining 5 teams. divisionals is at greenwood forest, after all that mess we went through. (i know i didn't blog about the mess, so if you're interested, let me know and i'll explain it later!)

i'm going to bestbuy to get a new computer today. mine's causing more problems than i'm willing to bother with right now. *sigh* vanessa and kim are coming over at 11 to do meet entries for divisionals and to discuss the plan for crazy olympics on wednesday, but i DOUBT we'll get all of that done in the amount of time we have before PRACTICE.

i'm going with chris to take his sister to the doctor in a little bit so i need to go get some DONUTS first!

guess that's about it for now...i'll try to get back in the habit of writing in here...we'll see what happens.

a quote from brandon james's blog...

"As we grow up we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder everytime. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broke. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll cry because time is passing so fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too hard and love like you have never been hurt, because every minute you spend mad or upset is a minute of happiness that you'll never get back."

how true, how true. how sad, how sad.

going out of town this weekend for andi's wedding. be back sunday to do divisionals entries with vanessa. YAY for swim team! ;)

another day, another problem.

drama seems to surround me. don't know what i did to deserve it, but everytime i open my mouth, things seem to get turned around and i'm the bad guy. *sigh* oh well...guess i'll figure something out.

i don't like people.

tc sent out an email to all the klein parents saying that he has accepted the head director position at klein oak so he is resigning as assistant director at klein. i think too many of us wanted him to be head at klein and it's kind of sad now to think he won't be there anymore. i hope he's happy at ko!

talked to the zawadzki's yesterday. well, i talked to mrs. z and chris talked to mr. z but...yeah. i'm sure you kind of get the picture. we need to go see them sometime!

i'm B-O-R-E-D BORED!

it's been a while, i know. i'm just too tired to blog when i get home from work (practice, lessons, guarding) so even when i REALLY need to--this past week--i don't because i don't have the time or energy. sooooo, to recap the past few weeks of my life in a few moments...
  • saved a swimmers life (she was an active drowning victim so i jumped in)
  • we're undefeated...and need a kick in the butt. the kids are getting a bit too cocky for me about the whole thing. hopefully this weekend will show them that they're not all as good as they think they are...and MAYBE just maybe they'll start listening and trying and working during practice
  • found out yesterday that we're having a swim-a-thon on wednesday. too bad the coaches didn't know ANYTHING about it until yesterday. *sigh*
  • i'm supposed to be working at lifetime but i don't have a suit, i don't know what the rotations are like, i don't have a membership card (not like i have time to work out ANYWAY)
  • chris and i finished history 1 on friday (both got As) and we start history 2 tomorrow--online, at least
  • alexis passed out on friday at practice...i feel responsible
  • i'm getting overly frustrated with my team and the parents. i guess it's a good thing that they're not going to ask me back next year because i don't know if i'd be able to accept the job. not after all the "drama" this year, at least.
  • went out to eat with ann and chris last night (first time this summer). we went to willie's which was really nice because it was casual and...yeah.
  • i still haven't been paid from the Y.
  • david got a job at kroger and starts his training tomorrow (and chris is taking up "boyfriend responsibilities" and he's taking david up there for me since i'll be working...at lifetime)
  • today's my FIRST day at lifetime...even though i SHOULD have been working the past two weeks. cool, eh?!
  • i got a new phone last weekend. i still don't really know how to use it but chris is slowly teaching me. everytime it beeps (all the time) i think it's something else.
  • chris laughed at me last night but i'm not really sure why.
  • we attempted to have a pep rally on friday but THAT didn't work. we may not have one for divisionals now
  • i'm ready for andi's wedding! ready to get away from the swim team stuff for a weekend...too bad i may not want to come back :(

i suppose that's probably all i have to say right now. at least, that's all i can think of. hopefully i'll get back into the blogging mood and things will pick back up.
