OH MY GOODNESS!!! the astros game today was SOOO intense. 18 innings...6 and a half hours...the astros SOOOO deserved that win. WOOHOO!!!!
this weekend was exactly what i needed. got away from this hell-hole of a town. spent time with my family. saw my best friends in the world. went to a sporting event. txstate football won their first away conference game (4-1). hung out with my boyfriend. bought undies.
THURSDAY NIGHT:
friday morning at 10:00 was "interpretive dance" mid-term time. ihop for pot stone met at ihop at 9:00 to study. we ended up not doing much studying but the little that we DID do was all associating our information to sexual activities...apparently studies show that that's the best way to memorize info. we were there until about 12:30 then all left to go back to our dorms/apartments to study a little more.
FRIDAY:
well, friday morning it was FREEZING outside. kathy and i skipped our motor learning class (she gave extra credit to the people who were there...tim told us) to go with holly to get blood drawn. the midterm was long and stupid. i finished around 11, got gas and headed to austin to pick mina up for our fun trip home...which ended up taking us a LOT longer than it should have. did you know that houston is west of austin? haha...it's NOT! mina and i thought it was, though. we got on 290 west instead of 290 east...and drove on that for a good 30-45 minutes until i finally decided that i had no idea where we were...but we were headed for fredricksberg. we finally turned around at dripping springs (that's where kathy works!) and then found 12. took ranch road 12 to hopkins and then ate lunch at mcdonalds. i HAD been planning on eating lunch in bastrop...but we weren't headed that way. we ate at the mcdonalds on 35 and 80 then FINALLY got on the road home. friday night chris, david, kelley (david's girlfriend), and i went to the movies and saw in her shoes. CUTE movie...if you're a girl and you like that kind of stuff.
SATURDAY:
i woke up around 10 and mom and i went to victoria's secret to use coupons that we got in the mail (i ended up getting a free pair of undies but i still have a $10 coupon that i have to use by the end of october). then ann and i went to chilis to see chris and have lunch. that was fun. we left him a tip that he said he wasn't going to accept so we gave it to his manager to put on his thing. YAY! hehe... then ann and i went to walmart to get astros shirts for the game. talk about NO selection for a houston sports team. there was more a&m/ut stuff there than anything else. RIDICULOUS! oh well. we went back home, showered, got ready, then headed i went to pick up ann and chris b and we went to chris's house to pick him up. i made him drive my car so i could put on make-up...BAD IDEA TO ATTEMPT TO PUT ON EYELINER IN A MOVING VEHICLE!!!! the game was awesome. i really don't know how else to put it. i'm the newest member of the astros fan club, i think. AMAZING!! AAAAAND...sarah's dad may be able to get us tickets to the game in houston next sunday night!!! :-D wouldn't THAT be nice?! haha...right now that's all just hypothetical, but... you know. whatever. so the game was great. chris bought me a t-shirt. SUCH a sweetie. after the game we went to chilis on 1960 and 45 for dinner and then we took ann and chris home and i took chris home and then GOT SOME MUCH NEEDED SLEEP.
SUNDAY:
my family went to church without me. it was a sad day for me. i got back from church, dad got fried chicken for lunch, we listened to the astros game, david and i discussed how we were going to make the signs for him to ask kelley to homecoming, we MADE the signs, then i couldn't leave because the astros game was still going on. 5:45 i FINALLY left because i didn't want to get back TOOOO late. pooooor mina. just before 249 on louetta, burke scored the winning run. AMAZING! 18 innings. that's just insane. *sigh* THAT would have been the game to be at. talk about getting your moneys worth! WOOHOO!! anyway, so the drive was pretty uneventful. mina and i just talked...about EVERYTHING. got back, no one was here but my AWESOMELY AWESOME roommate taped desperate housewives and gray's anatomy for me because she's just that cool. i haven't watched them yet, but i will...and SOON! and here i am now!
all 'n all...great weekend. i didn't want to come back. i feel better at home but i have a feeling all of that will change next semester when my baby's here with me...
