someone explain this one to me...
ok, so i was on the bus back from jowers and there were some people talking. i know, i know, it's rude to listen in on other people's conversations but this one was hard not to. anyway, so there was a guy and two girls. they were talking about how tired they are (like, physically) after their weight training class and one of the girls was like, "yeah. i used to be a cheerleader in high school. when we went to the gym to max out, i used to be able to squat 235 lbs. since i started smoking and drinking, though, i'm too lazy and too tired to walk around campus. look at me now. we just squatted the bar and my legs are too weak to get me up the hill. [etc. etc. etc.]" ok. now, to ME that sounds like an easy thing to fix. 1) STOP SMOKING!!! it's going to kill you if you're not careful. 2) STOP DRINKING!!! you're a freshman...which means you are NOT of age to be drinking. i'm not saying that to be a hypocrit, i'm just saying it because it's true. i'm not old enough to drink either, but at least i don't do it all the time...and it doesn't interfere with my physical fitness (?).
